Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice traditionally offered through gentle touch or hands held just above the body. A Reiki session creates space to slow down, settle in, and turn your attention inward.
At Forest Moon Healing, Reiki is offered as a complementary wellness practice alongside, not instead of, medical or mental health care.

You'll remain fully clothed and settle into a quiet, private space. We'll begin with a brief check-in before the session, and depending on the experience you've chosen, we may incorporate guided meditation along with Reiki.
You don't need to know what to do or try to make anything happen. The invitation is simply to get comfortable and receive.

Everyone experiences Reiki differently.
Some people notice warmth, coolness, tingling, a sense of heaviness or lightness, or a deep sense of relaxation. Others don't notice any particular sensation at all.
There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.

No. Reiki is not a religion, and you do not need to follow any particular religious or spiritual belief system to receive it.
Reiki was developed in Japan in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. While Reiki has been practiced within spiritual traditions, it is not a religion and does not require a specific set of religious beliefs.
A session at Forest Moon Healing does not involve prayer, worship, religious instruction, or conversion. You are not being asked to believe in or participate in a particular faith.
My intention is simply to offer a quiet, supportive space where you can slow down, relax, and turn your attention inward. You are welcome here regardless of your religious or spiritual beliefs.
